The Dark Knight Rices

As if true to our name, we recently discovered that what we planted in Plot 825 is NOT pirurutong. Surprise, surprise! What is it, you ask? We don't know-- yet! It's a mystery, like The Dark Knight is to the rest of Gotham City. All we know is that it's a marker variety that IRRI uses to demarcate between treatments or between varieties. How much will it yield? How many days after transplanting are we suppose to harvest? Is is susceptible to pests and diseases? We don't know. It will be fun to watch this specific variety, but only after we've gotten over our concerns as to identity, susceptibility and age.
